About this piece
Two dancer's feet, one bare and one shod, represent two ways of facing the path: vulnerability and protection, strength and fragility. Between them, a small sphere introduces again the element of balance that runs through the whole series. The tension between the two feet and the trace of movement reflect the everyday challenge of keeping going, even when conditions are not favorable. Muted tones dominate the composition and let small accents of color introduce a subtle reference to Cuban identity.
