How do I work?
Eighteen years reading images professionally, before painting them. That means that I choose every color and every composition because they mean something: the blue that holds a scene is not the blue that tenses it, and a figure looking out of the painting does not tell the same story as one staring straight at you. When you commission a piece from me, that is the conversation we have.
I work in watercolor, oil, ink and charcoal, and we choose the technique according to what needs to be told and where it will live.
How it works
Four steps, in this order. It is booked with a 50% deposit on accepting the quote and the rest on delivery.

We talk
A call or a few messages to understand what you want, where it will hang and what it lives alongside. From that comes the written quote, with a fixed price and a delivery date.

Two composition proposals
We choose one proposal and adjust whatever is needed before taking it to the canvas. This is where the piece starts taking shape.

Delivery
It leaves packaged and insured, with its certificate of authenticity.

What I do not do
- Copies of other artists' works or "in the style of" versions.
- My work starts from the image, but seeks to interpret it and turn it into a piece of its own. Mi trabajo parte de la imagen, pero busca interpretarla y convertirla en una obra propia.
- Commissions without a defined date or budget. If you still have questions, write to me and we will look at it together before starting.
Commissioned work is made to your specifications, so it is excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to other purchases (article 103.c of Law 3/2014). I explain it in writing along with the quote, before you confirm anything and before any payment.
Timelines
A hand-painted original takes between three and six weeks from when we finalize the composition, depending on size and technique. I work with a limited number of commissions at a time so I can give each piece the time and attention it deserves.
If you want your piece before Christmas, November 15 is the deadline to place your commission. That is the time needed for creating the piece, drying, varnishing and preparing the shipment.
